That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus,
and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead,
thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness;
and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture
saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
Romans 10:9-11

Some Basic Observations
Have you sensed a need for something more in life? Have you recognized an inner hunger that all the things you've done, all the things you own, and even the reputation you've built can't seem to fulfill?
Sin may be fun for awhile (Hebrews 11:25), but when all is said and done, are you still lonely in a crowd? Have you come to realize yet that you are a sinner incapable of measuring up to God's standard?
'That doesn't apply to me,' you say? Well, there are some basic observations in the Bible that need to be pointed out should one question whether or not they need salvation. Why don't we take a look and see?
1. A Sinister Plot (Gen 2-3:19) **After the fall from grace, Satan carefully laid out a plan that he thought would lead to his ruling all humans and receiving their worship instead of God. The devil schemed to draw the God's new creation away from Him. To lure them into taking his side, Satan lied.
2. ALL Have Sinned "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." (Rom 3:23) **Due to Adam's High Treason against God which resulted in the loss of our TRUE spiritual nature. Though it was Eve that was initially deceived, Adam chose to follow in her footsteps of his own free will and deliberately disobeyed God . . .
Which caused their offspring, including us, to inherit sin and death of the spirit.
3. ALL Are Loved "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16) **God came up with a plan to end the transgression, redeem the spirit of man, and crush Satan's tactics. This is why Jesus came to earth. The ransom sacrifice is the ultimate proof of God's Love.
Christ's death embodied the two greatest acts of love in the history of mankind: 1 - God's love in sending his Son to die in our behalf; 2 - Jesus' love in willingly offering himself as a ransom, and restoring the relationship between God and man. (John 15:13; Romans 5:8)
4. ALL Are Ransomed "Now all praise to God for his wonderful kindness to us and His favor that He has poured out upon us, because we belong to His dearly beloved Son. So overflowing in His kindness toward us that He took away all our sins through the blood of His Son, by whom we are saved. . . " (Ephesians 1:6-7 TLB)
**If we are truly repentant and believe in what He did for us, and exercise faith in the blood He shed for us, then our sins are covered and our spiritual "robes" become as white as snow. (Acts 3:19; 1 Peter 3:21; Revelations 7:9, 14) ". . . he that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. Verily I say unto you, he that believeth on me (Christ) hath everlasting life."
(John 6:37, 47) **You can not work your way into heaven, and "Good Works" won't get you in either. Heaven is the gift of God to those who believe in Jesus Christ. "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God." (Ephesians 2:8)
5. ALL Are Judged ". . . he that believeth not is condemed already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." (John 3:18) " . . .we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ." (Rom 14:10) "And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened . . . . and whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." (Revelations 20:12, 15)
6. ALL Knees Will Bow ". . . that at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." (Phillipians 2:10-11)
Do you recognize God's provision in Jesus Christ? Do you believe that Jesus, God's Son, died for you because of your sin? Do you believe that He rose from the dead?
Are you willing to repent, to change your mind, about who is Lord in your life?
Will You RECEIVE Jesus as your Lord and Savior right now?
A Simple Prayer of Salvation
If you repent of your sins, confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that He died for your sins and was raised from the grave on the 3rd day,
and you want him to come into your heart right now, please say this simple prayer from your heart, and speak it out loud if you are able:
Heavenly Father, I believe that Jesus is the Son of God,
that He became a man to suffer and die on the cross, and that His shed blood
is for the cleansing of my sins.
Lord Jesus, I know that I'm a sinner by nature and that I cannot save myself by good works. I confess my sins to You and ask that You forgive me. Be merciful to me, and save me according to the promise of Your Word.
I ask that You come into my heart and be Lord and Savior of my life.
Cover me and my sins, according to Your Word. Fill me with your spirit, Lord, that I may do your will.
Thank you Lord, for saving me.
Please give me the faith to believe all the promises that You have written
to me in Your Word, the Holy Bible. Please give me the strength and the
faith to accomplish the plans and the destinies that You have for me, and
give me the courage to be a witness for You. Please fill me with Your
love and compassion for people so I can be like You.
I pray all these things in Your Holy Name, Amen.
